REAL BOONE is a collection of professionals headed by Boone, NC local and photographer Paul Sherar. We have been in the visual marketing business a long time. Whether we are producing a video for a large trail camera company or photographing a local entrepreneur’s new lip balm startup — our strategy is simple.

OWNER AND CHIEF COFFEE DRINKER
Paul has visually documented over 120 international humanitarian assignments in 65+ countries over the last 20 years and contracts for a variety of commercial clients (www.paulsherar.com). His eye for composition and story telling carry into his commercial work, and his compassion for people demands a how-can-I-help attitude. Leading the Real Boone Team on the daily, he’ll take on shoots and help where needed. Married to the beautiful Jamie Sherar, with 3 over-the-top gorgeous kiddos. Low-key personality until that first cup of joe…then slightly less low-key.

Evan heads up our commercial studio here in Boone. Hailing from the west, he brings a fresh energy and creative edge to our brand-centric photo and video department. Dedicated to his work (www.evanfrance.com) and always up for the next adventure with his lovely wife, Maryn. He’s sure to be an asset on any production shoot and loves a good org chart. Even though he shoots Canon we still love him.

Chandler graduated from Appalachian State with a BA in Commercial Photography. Driven by his passion for quality and a keen eye for composition. He started REAL TRIAD Visuals (www.realtriad.com) off the mountain in his hometown of Pilot Mountain. Quick to jump into any opportunity camera first, however you will NOT find him willingly on the receiving end of that camera. No pictures, please. In his off time, you’ll find him enjoying these mountain trails with his lovely wife, Cassidy.

SJ is a fresh grad out of Appalachian State’s Commercial Photography Department concentrating on Architectural Photography. Being well organized and a great communicator, she’s definitely an asset to the team. When she’s not photographing homes she spends time with her fiancé (Zane) and horse (Reba). You’d be surprised at her collection of project cars, and her Subaru was voted the coolest car on the RB Team.
Jamie Sherar

Jamie graduated from Appalachian State with a degree that has too many words for me to remember. Jamie heads our REAL BOONE Moments department, specializing in Weddings and Portraits. She excels at finding ways to beautify her surroundings and capture beauty in her camera lens as well. Clients love her ease of personality and ability to some how herd everyone one to the appropriate goal line. Like Chandler, she’d sooner be found behind the scenes than in front of the camera.

Adam graduated from some random university in Ohio with a BA in Business Marketing. A stellar photographer (www.adampflederer.com) we pull from Adam’s marketing strengths while also benefiting from his creative photographic edge. Quick to help people feel comfortable, he consistently makes you think that you’re funnier than you actually are and holds the standing record for saying “Let’s Go!” the most amount of times in a single photo shoot.
