VIDEO PRODUCTION IN BOONE, NC
STORIES BY HUMANS FOR HUMANS
In an age where so much is artificial, we all crave something REAL.
We’ve all been there — drawn in by a genuine story, inspired by a real person, or captivated by a product that truly solves a problem. That’s the kind of storytelling we strive to create.
Our mission is simple: to tell authentic, impactful stories with integrity, creativity, and professionalism. We craft videos that connects your brand to your audience — not just through visuals, but through meaning.
See how we’ve brought that mission to life for some of our favorite clients below!
THE SPECKLED TROUT
WHERE COMMUNITY MEETS TASTE
The Speckled Trout project took us through three landscapes — from the kitchen in Blowing Rock, to rivers in Boone, to downtown Damascus, VA. Over three days, we chased light, weather, and genuine moments to create a film that feels lived-in. Real sounds, real people, and real motion guided the direction, with an emphasis on atmosphere over polish — letting each scene speak for itself.
Shot on anamorphic lenses for cinematic depth and texture, the project demanded flexibility and intuition. From sourcing local families for models, to shifting schedules, to a heavy downpour mid-river — beauty in the tension became part of the tone. Our hybrid workflow let Paul focus on stills and Evan on motion, often within the same frame, building a cohesive story while saving time and cost. The final piece feels like The Speckled Trout itself: rooted in place, shaped by community, and driven by craft.
FUSE ONCOLOGY
ACCELERATING CARE AND FINAL EDIT
We had just one intense day in Greensboro, filming four interviews at Cone Health for Fuse Oncology — a company devoted to accelerating cancer care by breaking down radiotherapy workflow silos. Because the video had to be ready for an upcoming trade show, our tempo was tight: we scripted, lit, and filmed interviews, b-roll, and stills in parallel, and then handed off to our editing team immediately. By the following weekend, the final cut was locked, proofing our ability to deliver high-quality storytelling under pressure.
Our hybrid production method (Paul on stills, Evan on video) paid off again. We captured the same faces, the same moments, twice — once in motion, once in frame — maximizing value per minute with models and clinicians. The editing team worked in lockstep to stay on schedule, and our full suite of gear enabled polished, professional interviews. The result: a narrative that reflects Fuse’s mission — not just in what they say, but in how fast, clean, and purposeful their message moves.
CAROLINA PET COMPANY
A TAIL OF TWO PAWS
Over three days, we moved through three very different homes to bring Carolina Pet Company’s aesthetic vision to life. The goal was to show how their thoughtfully designed pet products — beds, throws, and accessories — feel at home across a variety of interior styles. We mixed still photography and video, working in our hybrid style (Paul on stills, Evan on motion), so we could capture the same interactions and moments with our furry models — saving time, money, and energy on set.
Sourcing well-behaved “dog models” brought its own challenges, so we collaborated with a local dog trainer to find four-legged stars who were both cute and cooperative (a little like working with short-attention-span toddlers). In between treats and cuddle breaks, we lit and shot scenes as though we were staging a lifestyle editorial with plenty of b-roll to support punchy, energetic short-form social content. Our editing team stayed tightly aligned with the deliverables schedule, and our full lighting kit gave the footage a polished yet warm, natural feel.
BOONE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
CUT OFF BUT STILL THRIVING
In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, we partnered with the Boone Area Chamber of Commerce to document the strength and spirit of local businesses and residents who endured its impact. This film — one of four in a broader series — focused on the community of Beech Mountain, a town completely cut off for days after the storm. Roads were gone, power was out, and yet what emerged wasn’t despair, but neighborly love and support.
We spent a day on the mountain capturing conversations and scenes that revealed how people adapted, helped each other, and began rebuilding in isolation. The shoot was intimate, shaped by a sense of responsibility to let the community speak for itself. The result is a grounded, human portrait of resilience — a story not just about what was lost, but what was most important when everything else fell away.
VENTURE CHOCOLATE AND WINE
BEAN TO BAR: THE STORY OF CACOA
Our gig with Venture Chocolate and Wine was simple: Capture the magic behind their bean-to-bar process in one whirlwind day. It's a huge story—sourcing organic beans from across the globe, bringing them back to be processed, formed, and perfectly packaged. The challenge was making the meticulous craft of turning a humble bean into an elegant piece of chocolate look as dramatic and beautiful as possible.
To pull this off, we went all in on the details. We used tight, cinematic close-ups to elevate the slow, precise movements of the chocolatiers and the glistening textures of the product. The grinding, the stirring, the forming—each action became a movement in a visual symphony. Paired with a bold soundtrack, the film is a deliberate work of art that doesn't just explain the steps; it makes you feel the care and quality baked into the final product. It’s proof that sometimes, the simplest things require the most beautiful execution.
HARDIN CREEK TIMBERWORKS
BUILT TO LAST: STARRING WOOD AND STEEL
For Hardin Creek Timberworks, our goal was to elevate the simple act of craftsmanship to a cinematic event. This wasn't about showing a job site; it was about capturing the deliberate, powerful artistry of their trade. To match the scale of their long-lasting timber structures, we deployed our full cinematic kit, utilizing anamorphic lenses to capture the dramatic scope of the worksite and the grand scale of their finished projects. We embraced dramatic lighting to turn the shop floor and the raw wood into a stage, highlighting the contrast between shadow and the glistening steel of the tools.
The resulting film is a portrait of skill and permanence. We focused intensely on the human element: the strong, skilled connection between the craftsman and the tools used to deliver such lasting results. Every swing of the hammer, every cut of the saw, and every careful placement of timber was treated like a pivotal moment, reflecting the weight and longevity of their work. It's a tribute to a business that doesn't just build structures, but builds legacies, proving that true quality is both dramatic to watch and enduring in its results.
